There's no crying in Avengers.

I'm sorry for not responding to comments. I was very sick all last week. Missed a day and a half of work and went to the doctor and eventually had to be put on two kinds of antibiotics at the same time to knock the crap out of me. I'm still feeling a little rundown. I hope to catch up soon. Can't wait until I'm all better again! But the cats loved having me at their mercy all weekend. I found a bit of rope to tease Heifer with, and even Sebastian loved it. They are two well-exercised cats today, let me tell you. I think I spent two hours swinging that thing back and forth and watching them dance and pounce.

*little things can make life better*

Last night I was on facebook messaging my sister about an upcoming camping trip when I saw something she'd shared. It was a picture of Betty White, talking about LBTG rights, and said, "I don’t care who anybody sleeps with. If a couple has been together all that time - and there are gay relationships that are more solid than some heterosexual ones - I think it’s fine if they want to get married. I don’t know how people can get so anti-something. Mind your own business, take care of your affairs, and don’t worry about other people so much." ~Betty White

Cute enough, right? And my sister liked it, which makes me happy. But you know what else?

My extremely old-fashioned, very conservative, southern, self-described 'redneck' uncle also 'liked' it. I was so happy I nearly cried. I never would have expected that of him. I feel like I woke up to a slightly better world this morning.
