Here's your big damn Avengers Monday, people!

Now, I have a slight cold, so you'll excuse me if I've sneezed all over them. Also, I'm afraid this will be my last pic post for awhile. My scrapbook is out of room so I have to post these one at a time through photobucket, which is just a huge pain. But I'm not going for a paid account while LJ is up in the air and everyone may be going to DW. Does anyone know of an easy way to mass post pics?

Today I have for you a succulent tenderloin of juicy Avenger topped with our creamy signature sauce and served with your choice of sides. I recommend the zesty lemon macro, which pairs well with the seasonal grilled .gifs. :D

You can tell I'm in a silly mood today, huh? I got a couple of really great reviews on my Steve/Loki, which really made my day. Now if I could only figure out that top!Phil fic, I'd be in good shape. I also got a lot done this weekend, though little of it was fandomish. Inspired by the very talented

amanuensis1, I drew up an arc reactor to carve on my pumpkin. I don't know if I'll manage it but I'll give it a try. I also bought a new red winter coat (yay! My first new winter coat in about ten years!) and made some green chili and zucchini bread. And

Yay! I think I got these uploaded okay. LJ is still acting shitty about pics, though. It took me three tries to get this to work.

Today I am debating whether to download Pink's new album. Amazon has it for only $5! I am usually an impulsive shopper and that's not good, so I'm putting it off. Maybe if I meditate on the idea, I'll feel less like I was impulsive about it, ha ha. And obviously I can't download it at work, so I'm forced to be an adult and consider the matter eight whole hours before I can even do anything about it. ;) Then in all likelihood I will download like a ravenous beast the minute I get through my front door.

Also, I worked on the Steve/Loki, yay! I think my problem has been that I've been dragging it out too long and getting too serious about it. It was a humor fic and it needs to stay a humor fic, dammit. That's my strength.

I would add that this weekend when I was going to Walmart to buy something to kill wasps, I saw this dude in an SUV with a Romney sticker gun through a crosswalk and almost kill an old man. Then he gesticulated wildly and screamed while the old man apologized profusely for nearly dying. It was almost like some kind of metaphor.

Guys, I don't know what's going on with my LJ, but it's not letting me post pics. It lets me upload them, but I'm having a hell of a time posting them. Grrrr. I'll try again. ETA: I think I got it fixed, but LJ is giving me SERIOUS issues. Is anyone else having problems?

Also, I have a 5k word Steve/Phil and would love a beta. I don't need critique on characterization or plot or anything, just a quick SPAG beta. There's no sex, just fluffy humor, and also I tried not to use the word 'said' too much. ;)

I'm sorry for not responding to comments. I was very sick all last week. Missed a day and a half of work and went to the doctor and eventually had to be put on two kinds of antibiotics at the same time to knock the crap out of me. I'm still feeling a little rundown. I hope to catch up soon. Can't wait until I'm all better again! But the cats loved having me at their mercy all weekend. I found a bit of rope to tease Heifer with, and even Sebastian loved it. They are two well-exercised cats today, let me tell you. I think I spent two hours swinging that thing back and forth and watching them dance and pounce.

Ugh. The squirrel is back. Well, possibly not the same squirrel, but it makes no nevermind to me. All I know is that little bastard woke me up at five this morning, and I am not pleased. I feel like Bill Murray in Caddyshack. I called the apartment complex. Hopefully they get on it soon, because it's already taken a chunk out of the siding. Grrrr.

I'd like to tell you I accomplished something this weekend, but that would be a lie. I spent the entire time playing Skyrim. It just ate me alive (now I have ALL the houses!). Well, I also cleaned house (a lot! It looks great!) worked out (I did 14 miles on my elliptical last week!) got some stuff for camping, and got chewed out by my aunt for not responding to a wedding invitation I never received (they sent it to my EX-BOYFRIEND'S old address. Mother FUCKER. I'm really glad he moved, because this would undoubtedly have started the stalking again). So, overall, it was actually kind of a busy little weekend. But I alleviated the pain with lots of Skyrim. :)

Today is Monday. Mondays are not good days. Have a heaping helping of Hiddleston to make yours better.

I am in a grumpy mood. There is no REASON for me to be in a grumpy mood. Yet I can't help it. I want to bite someone's head off. Perhaps it's PMS, I don't know. All I know is that the world is bad and there is nothing good in it and also I want ice cream.

I am going to go to lunch today and have ice cream. The dream of future ice cream is the only thing keeping my despair and frustration in check. And I don't even LIKE ice cream, so what the shit is wrong with me today?

Anyway, I enjoyed last night's Project Runway.

I want to see Ven in the top 3, for sure. But I have to admit his personality is SO BORING. His facial expression NEVER CHANGES. "Thank you. This is overwhelming," he says in a monotone, looking at you through cold eyes. "I am very happy you recognize what an excellent designer I am. It will make things easier when I skin you and use your skin to make my next dress, Clarice." No, I'm kidding, he's not that bad. He's just not very animated at all. I was annoyed by Dylan saying he should have used more TYPES of candy in his dress, though. Seriously, lady, that's not even part of the challenge, so shut up. He did such a great job that whining about that seemed very stupid. I also want to see Sonjia in the top 3. She is awesome and her designs are candy. Literally. I'm already a bit sick of Chris/Gunnar though. Am I the only one wondering if they'll end up sleeping together? Because Christopher is protesting way too much. I mean, he's reeeeeeeeeeeeally focused on Gunnar. Anyway! Back to your regularly scheduled superheroes.

Oh, but I did want to share a conversation I had with Associate yesterday, because I still keep giggling over it. I can't remember what we were discussing, but he asked me if he should do X, and I said, "No, I think that's unnecessary. That would be gilding the lily." And he was like, "WHAT? What does that mean?" So I explained to him that it basically meant overdoing something. Then, LATER, we were discussing camping. . .

Associate: "Be sure to bring matches."
Me: "I'm not sure I would be able to strike them when I needed them."
Associate: *shows me his zipper* (Yes, by that I mean his FLY, for chrissakes.)
Me: "WHAT THE FUCK!?"
Associate: "No, I'm just showing you, you use your zipper to strike the matches."
Me: "Oh. Oh, my God, that completely threw me . . . I didn't know WHERE the hell you were going with that."
Associate: "What, you thought I was, what did you call it? 'Shucking the lilac' or whatever?"
Me: "SHUCKING THE LILAC!?" *dies of laughter*

So now we keep using "shucking the lilac" in conversation and cracking up. Jesus. The people I work with are characters, I swear.
